ANVISA notification

Hospimetal has notified its products to ANVISA (Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency), in compliance with the regulations that require health products to be regularized, to ensure not only health but also the safety of patients and of the healthcare professionals who handle hospital furniture and medical equipment.

Under Brazilian Law No. 6,360/76, no health product, whether Brazilian or imported, may be manufactured, offered for sale or used unless it is duly regularized with ANVISA.

INMETRO certification

Our complete line of hospital beds, hemodialysis chairs and recliners is certified by an INMETRO-accredited Product Certification Body (OCP).

Products are sent for safety testing in a CGCRE-accredited laboratory, where they are tested according to current NBR IEC standards. In addition, all products undergo final inspection and testing before being shipped to customers.

Good Manufacturing Practices

In compliance with RDC 59 (a resolution since revoked), Hospimetal implemented Good Manufacturing Practices.

With RDC No. 15 of March 28, 2014, ANVISA stopped issuing the GMP certificate, but Good Manufacturing Practices remain active in all of the company's processes. Our processes also follow the ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.

Brazilian Health Devices

Hospimetal is part of Brazilian Health Devices, a program that promotes the export of Brazilian health products, bringing the quality of our products to hospitals in other countries.
